• Project CONNECT Internship - Linking new HIV positive individuals to care at 1917 clinic.
Interns with Project CONNECT have the opportunity to be involved in a cutting-edge program for helping HIV patients have quick access to care.
Participants in the program observe new patient orientations, prepare the medical notes from initial interviews, learn how to track patients to make sure they continue in care, document lab results, and enter data for basic research projects.
In addition, interns are trained to do HIV testing for persons who want to know their HIV status and how to educate community members to prevent the spread of HIV disease.
